ISD6 is open for registration!

We are very excited to announce that The Sixth Image Schema Day (ISD6) has accepted several abstracts and papers to the workshop for presentation!
The event will take place at Mariedal, Jönköping University’s event mansion on the 24-25th of March!

Currently, we are designing the program based on the contributions and we are encouraging authors of accepted papers as well as any one interested in joining the event to register on the event website!

Paper accepted to the Semantic Web Journal

A paper written together with colleagues at the University of Bremen has been accepted for publication in the Semantic Web Journal.

The paper is called:

Paper accepted at the 29th AICS

The paper that I wrote together with Mihai Pomarlan and Robert Porzel on curiosity-driven learning for robotics to learn “pouring” was accepted to the 29th Irish Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science.
The paper is called:

The Sixth Image Schema Day is happening!

We are very happy to announce that we are organising the 6th ISD workshop in Jönköping 20-21 of January, 2022.

The workshop’s mission is as in previous editions to offer a venue for researchers interested in image schemas and related notions to present their research, discuss ideas for future projects and network to find new collaborations.

The workshop accepts submissions (abstracts and full papers) that will be peer-reviewed by a PC that is both highly specialised yet cover a broad span of research disciplines. Accepted papers will be published in the proceedings.

Lecturing at the EASE fall school November, 2022

I have been invited to hold a lecture at the EASE fall summer school, held 8-12 November.
Registration is free and can be done until the 4th of November.

My lecture will cover event-segmentation to ground meaning of actions into embodied concepts.
It will be held on Wednesday 10th at 12-13.

AI-dagen (AI-day) in Jönköping

Jönköping University is organising the AI-day on Thursday September 30th, as part of the research and industry collaboration project AI Readiness.

I’ve had the honour to be invited to participate as a faculty representative to the event to help to moderate the invited talks together with journalist Johan Wangström.

The event is free to follow online but note that it will be held in Swedish.

Confirmed: JOWO 2022 in Jönköping

At the IAOA meeting Yesterday, mine and Karl Hammar’s application to organise JOWO 2022 in Jönköpimg was approved.

JOWO is the joint ontology workshops and have been run in eight editions. We are very excited to have this opportunity and look forward seeing you there next year!
